Hello! Welcome to Episode 9. In this podcast, I show some recent knitting fails, WIP's, handspun yarn, a few different fleeces and I demonstrate how I use wool combs!
Please join our Ravelry Group, and especially the general chat thread where we can get to know one another better! Thank you again, to my friend Elin of www.swedishfibre.etsy.com. I am spinning her glorious fleeces, which were sent to me from Sweden. She is also now on Instagram as @swedishfibre.
Wow! That took a long time. Thanks for your patience with me, ya'll. I was sick for a long while and then was crazy busy trying to play catch-up in every area of my life. :)
In this episode, I show some finished socks, talk about sock blanks, show some finished spinning, and open up a new shipment of wool from a farmer with YOU guys on air!
P.S.... I announce the winner of the beautiful fiber parcel from Elin in Sweden. (Find her at www.swedishfibre.etsy.com) Congratulations to Caro for winning!!!
A few things I mentioned today: The socks I will be knitting for Brad are in Opal Sock Yarn. I also purchased a book called "60 Quick Luxury Knits" by Cascade yarns. Here's the amazon link for the book. I will be making the "Mock Cable Scarf" pattern, written by Holli Yeoh for Cascade. Here's the Ravelry link for the pattern page. The Jacob Sheep wool I opened on air with you is from a farmer named Cara Leigh. She doesn't raise jacobs, but got the fleece from another farmer. She actually raises Finn sheep and has some absolutely stunning coated fleeces for sale. She is Point of View Farm and here is her facebook link.
Please let me know if you have any questions or if you have suggestions for future podcasts. I really enjoy doing this with you and I am delighted to have you join our Ravelry group to get to know you. Thanks for watching!
